Shinichiro Shiraki is Director and CIO of Astmax Asset Management and also currently servers as the Chairman of AIMA Japan. In 2005 he launched Monex Alternative Investments. Prior to that he was Executive Director for Asuka Asset Management and a Vice President for UFJ Group (currently Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group) where he set up its fund of funds business and helping to develop equity market neutral strategies from 2000 to 2003. Before that he managed pension money at UFJ Asset Management. He obtained Masters in Finance from London Business School and started investing in hedge funds in 1996 at UFJ Bank (ex-Sanwa Bank).
