In 2008, Guy and fellow value investor Monish Pabrai, managing partner of the Pabrai Investment Fund, posted the winning bid for the annual charity lunch with Warren Buffet for what was then a record $650,100 (in 2010, the winning bid was 2.63 million -- all proceeds go to the Glide foundation).
