Apart from the expanding middle class, Brazil benefits from the continued demand for its commodities (iron ore). Capital markets evolve in great strides, already now its exchange is the fifth largest in the world, in 2008 Brazil was #3 in IPO volumes globally. During the recent financial crisis, the country did not suffer any bankruptcies or government interventions like most Western countries.

Otavio explains the options and vehicles international investors can chose to invest into this expanding and vibrant market, and explains the advantages of Brazilian hedge funds, the multi mercado funds which are in fact regulated as mutual funds.
