In May 2002, Stephen Diggle, together with Richard Magides, set up Artradis Fund Management in Singapore, which subsequently became one of the largest home grown Asian hedge funds.
Diggle has been trading equities and derivatives since 1986. At that time, derivatives were a real frontier in finance. Diggle “liked the maths” required to understand and use options and futures – to the extent that he was promoted Head of Lehman Asian Equity Derivatives Trading (Hong Kong), Head of Lehman Brothers Futures (Hong Kong), Head of Equity Derivative Trading Salomon Brothers (Hong Kong) and before that Head of Emerging Europe Trading at Lehman Brothers (London).
